As part of an exhibition at MoCA Long Island (2019), I conducted live “Political Therapy” sessions, for which I sat with participants for 10-20 minutes and listened to them describe how they are personally affected by the political atmosphere. At the start of each session, I asked, “What do you care about? What do you fear? What do you hope for?” We would work together to design a tool that was custom-designed for their story. I drew the tool on the spot for the participants to take with them.
